MICF Roadshow Sizzle Reel 2019

Wodonga is in for a big treat and a belly full of laughs later this month.

Just as the curtains close on the funniest month of the year in Melbourne, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s most loved and laughed at comedians will pack their bags and hit the road for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow.

The roadshow is home-delivering hot and tasty comedic treats around Australia between April 24 and July 6.

Featuring fantastic funny makers from Australia and beyond, the roadshow travels across 88 Australian towns, presenting 99 performances of sketch, stand-up, satire, silliness and song across 11 weeks.

Wodonga is fortunate to be one of these locations, bringing the show to The Cube on Saturday, April 27 from 7.30pm.

Previous Roadshow casts have introduced audiences to the likes of Celia Pacquola, Luke McGgregor, Dave Hughes, Peter Hellier, Nazeem Hussain, The Pajama Men, Wil Sylvince, Hannah Gadsby and many more big names you will recognise from radio and television.

This year’s line-up includes Aaron Chen, Any Saunders, Ben Knight, Bev Killick, Bob Franklin, Brennan Reece (UK), Cal Wilson, Dane Simpson, Daniel Connell, Dave Callan, Eleanor Tiernan (IRL), Georgie Carroll, Ivan Aristeguieta, John Hastings (CAN), Lauren Pattison (UK), Matt Okine, Nick Cody, Rahul Subramanian (IN), Rhys Nicholson,  Sean Choolburra, Steph Tisdell and stacks more.

For 20 years this roving tour-de-comedy has visited towns and cities around Australia, from Broome to Ballarat, Tasmania to the Territories with 2019 being no exception; there’s nowhere our brilliant entertainers fear to tread.

The journey doesn’t end there either, with the roadshow taking its talent abroad with international tour dates across Hong Kong, Singapore, India and Malaysia to follow.

This year The Cube Wodonga is making a huge night of it, supplying pre and post show live music in the foyer from local jazz band Blue Train.

Stick around after the show to enjoy free finger food and drinks at bar prices in the foyer.

All tickets $32, Cube member $24. To purchase, click here.
