A comedic take on creation

If man was created in God’s image, then does God also love cat videos and extra guac?

Former teenage Christian and theatrical clown weirdo, Kyle Walmsley, uses the biblical creation story as an allegory for understanding the confusing and troubling times we live in.

In His Image is a twisted, darkly comedic look at Chapter 1 of history’s best selling book and it’s coming to The Cube Wodonga from July 12 to 14.

"I'm a bit weird and I think the show reflects that," Walmsley said.

"I'm a quirky outsider, a black sheep like I am in my family and I think this show is something for my generation. My generation is probably the least religious that as a society we've ever been. There are a lot of people who consider themselves atheists or agnostic.

"I made this show because it was something that I would like to see and I don't think there are enough shows in regional centres made for those who are 18 to 35."

In this irreverent, absurd and largely inappropriate show, Kyle takes you down the live theatre version of a YouTube rabbit hole.

Winner of the 2017 Darwin Fringe Festival Award for Best Theatre, Kyle Walmsley is a performer and teacher of clown and theatre.

Whether you’re a fan of Jesus or Kyle, you’re going to have lots to think about after seeing this show.

This show is recommended for ages 16 and over.

Kyle will also be offering clowning workshops in July.
