Belvoir Park shines bright

Seating has been boosted at Belvoir Park with upgrades to tables, seats and barbecue areas.

The Rotary Club shelter, near the Huon St entrance, has been reinvigorated with a new shelter and seating.

Materials were chosen to help minimise the maintenance required of the shelter and seating.

Extra seating has also been added to the park with new tables and benches around the lake.

Twenty-three solar lights have also been installed and include motion sensors that turn on when approached.

The lights are a part of the solar funding projects funded by the Victoria Government’s Community Crime Prevention Program.

The council will continue to apply for more funding after feedback from the council budget.

Belvoir Park offers playgrounds, walking paths, picturesque lake and wildlife.

It is also home to the community wood-fired oven in operation on selected Sundays throughout the year.

The upgraded shelters comes as part of a larger investment from Wodonga Council. Upgrades are continuing at the park.
