Full program for Bonegilla Reunion announced

It's finally here.

We can now annouce the full program for the Bonegilla Reunion on November 2 and 3.

There will be a historian talk with Bruce Pennay with a morning tea to follow on the Friday and the Wodonga Family History Society will give a presentation on starting your family history research on the Saturday.

Following the genealogy presentation, there will be half hour one-on-one sessions to guide you in further research.

There will also be guided tours, pop-up displays and even a chance to sit in on an author talk with Annette Janic who wrote War Child.

The author feared the stories of post World War II migrants would be lost.

As a first generation Australian, Janic's parents and an older brother passed through Bonegilla after arriving in Australia in the International Refugee Organisation program following WWII.

Come and listen to Janic speak about the importance about writing biographies and memories and her journey in writing her mother's story, War Child.

Bookings for events are now being taken. Register your interest by visiting www.wodonga.vic.gov.au/downloads/images/Booking_form.pdf
