Have your say on youth events

A demand for more events aimed at the city’s young people is behind a call for more FReeZA committee members.

Young people are always looking for events and activities to keep them entertained, especially during school holidays, so why not have your say on these?

As a committee member you will gain valuable hands-on experience and learn about planning, developing and managing events.

Youth Events Officer Sam Lampe said it was easy for young people to become involved and share their ideas.

The committee meets every Monday during the school terms from 4pm to 5pm at The Cube Wodonga.

Miss Lampe said the latest FReeZA event involving pizza, popcorn and a screening of Ant-Man at The Cube was a huge success.

“The Marvel movies are always popular and we chose Ant-Man on the back of the sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, being released the day before,” she said.

An extra 150 tickets were added after the original 50 were snapped up within three days.

The next FReeZA event is the Loddon Mallee Hume Skate Park Series to be held on Sunday, September 9.
