Here's a fundraiser for your community organisation

Does your community organisation want to help out at a great community event and fundraise at the same time? Volunteer at the 2018 Wodonga Children’s Fair to help clean-up and pack-down!

Wodonga Council is calling for Expressions of Interest from community organisations to help clean up and pack down the Wodonga Children's Fair on Sunday, October 28 at the Wodonga Racecourse precinct.

A pack down crew is required onsite from 3pm for about three and a half hours. A minimum of 10 adults is needed to pack up marquees, flags, rubber mats, signs, and umbrellas.

A clean-up crew is required onsite from 3.30pm for about three hours. A minimum of 10 adults will help manage the waste including collecting all wheelie bins and returning them to nominated site. They will also pick up rubbish across venue and car parks. Gloves and rubbish bags provided.

A parking crew is required onsite from 6.30am to 4.30pm. A minimum 10 adults rotating roster throughout the day will help manage the parking of cars in two parking areas for the duration of the event.

Please note: All volunteers must wear enclosed shoes and high visibility vest/shirt in addition to a hat, sunglasses and sun cream. No children (under 16 years of age) are permitted to assist in these activities due to dangers from moving vehicles and forklifts.

In return, the council will make a financial contribution towards your club or organisation, making this a great way for your club to fundraise!

Please register your interest before 5pm on Friday, August 31 with Duryarne Streat on dstreat@wodonga.vic.gov.au or (02) 6022 9356.
