Learning about art by investing in art

In a first, Artstream Collection is now open to the public at Arts Space Wodonga but it's only for a short time.

Ten years ago, a group of people living and working in the region formed a group called Artstream and began investing in and collecting Australian artwork that had a connection to the environment and land.

The group's aim has been to learn about art by investing in art.

Between 2009 and 2019, the collection has grown to feature 59 artworks.

Artstream have supported two art residencies and have initiated many opportunities for learning about art, through visiting artists’ studios and also galleries around Australia.

Arts Space Wodonga is honoured to exhibit this collection as it includes the work of many eminent Australian artists, including John Cattapan, Fred Williams, Rick Amor and Sally Gabori.

The exhibition will be at Arts Space Wodonga for one week only!

Learn more about the collection at a floor-talk with local artist Mary-Jane Griggs on Saturday, March 16 at 10am.
