New-look Youth Connect Card

A new Youth Connect Card for young people aged 12-25 on both sides of the Border will be launched today at the Retro Lane Cafe.

A joint initiative from AlburyCity and Wodonga Council through the Two Cities One Community partnership, the card connects young people to key local youth service providers and offers them a range of shopping discounts on both sides of the Border.

The youth card has been issued for more than 11 years as a helpful resource for young people.

The artwork for this year’s card was created by Retro’s Youth Programs Co-ordinator in collaboration with young people.

Thanks to the support of local businesses across the border, young people who have the Youth Connect Card can get discounts on a range of goods including music, food, clothes, bikes and cycling equipment and entertainment.

Youth Connect Cards will be distributed to schools, youth services and local business in the Albury-Wodonga area.

Young people who would like to find out more can visit alburycity.nsw.gov.au/youthconnectcard or Wodonga.vic.gov.au/youthconnectcard or contact AlburyCity’s Youth Services team on (02) 6023 8111 or phone Wodonga Council’s Youth services team on (02) 6022 9701.
