Skate on down to the James Scott Memorial Skate Park

Skateboarders, scooters and BMX riders from across the city are invited to get down to the James Scott Memorial Skate Park on Sunday, September 9 to compete as part of the latest FReeZA event.

The Skate Park League competitions are community-based grass-roots events focused on embracing skate park culture and bringing the community together.

Youth Events Officer Sam Lampe said the popular annual event always attracted a great crowd of spectators and competitors.

"It's a great event for those who don't take part in traditional sports," she said.

"The city's young people really value the skate park and utilise it often, so it's great that we can hold events like this that involve the whole community."
