Spoil mum with pizza this Mother's Day

Wodonga Council is pulling out all stops to ensure Mother's Day is extra special at the Belvoir Park Wood-fired Oven on Sunday, May 12.

There will be live music from the Grooveyard Hammond Combo for you to enjoy while you eat.

Band member Caz Higgs is looking forward to creating a special atmosphere for all the mums in the crowd this weekend.

"We want people to relax and spoil their mum," she said.

"Bring your mum down here to enjoy some yummy pizza while listening to some great tunes," she said.

The pizza oven operates between 11am and 2pm.

It's a great opportunity for those running in the Albury Wodonga Mother's Day Classic at Sumsion Gardens to join us at the wood-fired oven after the run - all you have to do is bring along your favourite pizza base and toppings and we'll cook it for you.

The Albury Wodonga Mother’s Day Classic has run for the past 12 years and has become a tradition for many families and individuals in the community.

For the first time, Albury Wodonga Aquatic Facilities will be running the event.

The formalities for the Mother’s Day Classic will begin at 9.30am, with a pre-event warm-up at 9.45am, before the 5km walk/run starts at 10am.

All funds raised will be going towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
