Time is ticking - get your entry in

Are you working on designing a skateboard deck for Wodonga Council's Deck'd Design Competition?

You had better be close to finishing because entries close tomorrow (March 15).

The competition is encouraging young people to get on board and design a skateboard deck that will be judged on creativity, message, quality and layout.

We want you to flip drugs on their head and think about the things in life that would help you or a friend to avoid developing any problems with drugs.

It can be illustrated, painted, typographic, graffiti, or photography - any style you like.

The entry must include a description and should show a clearly recognisable link to the contest prompt.

The winners will be announced at the Deck’d event at the Wodonga Plaza on April 11.

Entrants must be aged between 12 to 17 years and a Wodonga resident to be eligible.

The major prize is a surf trip to Torquay.

Public voting is open from March 18 and closes Friday, March 29.

Entries will be judged by a panel and by public vote.

The Deck’d event on April 11 from 10am to 4pm will feature a pop-up gallery displaying art pieces from the Deck’d Design Competition.

There will also be free introductory skate lessons, competition and demonstrations and grab a feed with the sausage sizzle.
