Time to try tennis

The Wodonga Tennis Centre (WTC) is one of the region’s greatest sporting and recreation assets.

Located in central Wodonga the centre comprises synthetic, Plexicushion (same as the Australian Open) and some of Australia's best grass courts.

The WTC hosts the annual Victorian Junior Grasscourts Championship, the World Schools Championships and Country Week every fourth year.

The clubhouse caters for tennis and croquet players, and can be hired out for social or commercial activities.

Competitions and/or coaching runs every day of the week, and these are open to anyone who is interested.

Currently the club and Head of Coaching Cameron Meagher runs a Saturday morning junior program.

The club acknowledges that without juniors, there can be no long-term growth for the centre.

This program is broken into three sections; 5-7 year olds (red ball), 8-11 year olds (green ball) and 10-14 year olds (yellow ball).

All participants enjoy physical and social activity and learn more about this great sport.

The Albury and Wodonga Tennis Associations offer a fantastic pathway for players, from the Junior Program, through to mid-week competitions, up to Saturday pennant.

We have had some of our exceptional juniors progress to scholarships at American Universities.

We are always looking for new players and members, so call (02) 6024 6354 or email admin@wodongatenniscentre.com.au.
