Wodonga parks transformed into a magical virtual wonderland

Help save Santa these school holidays.

A Christmas-themed virtual reality game has arrived at Belvoir Park, McLean Park in WhiteBox Rise, Willow Park and Baranduda Recreation Reserve.

Get your kids outside, active, chasing after reindeer and battling the Yeti who is trying to make a mess out of Christmas.

Can your kids help Santa and save Christmas?

The idea is to use a mobile device and download the Magical Park app, which will then allow you to become captivated in a digital fantasy land playground.

The exciting and engaging world is aimed at kids aged 6 to 11 years and their families to explore.

“Wodonga Council wants to see as many kids enjoying the great outdoors as possible – and this interactive game is just one innovative way we are encouraging families to use parks to improve their health and wellbeing,” Wodonga Council Manager of Cultural Services, Simone Hogg, said.

"The Magical Challenge game is a smart way to get families with young children out of the house and out exploring our beautiful parks.”

Magical Parks will run until January 7.
